Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

Yep, that's right- last night/early this morning it snowed in Alabama! We didn't get too much, but it was enough to stick and cover most of the ground. All the schools closed today which means I don't have to work! These are the days working for UA pays off. Justin is suppose to go into work at 4, but the bridges are closed right now so the way things are looking he won't be making it- it's impossible to get to that part of Tuscaloosa without a bridge.

Also, due to the snow and ice Justin's orientation has been post-poned a few hours- he doesn't have to check in until 12pm tomorrow instead of 730-830am. Of course, that probably means they'll stay later unless they just wing it and cut out the unneccessary parts- which, let's face it, is 90% of orientation.

It is good that orientation is post-poned though, because Justin has still yet to finish all his immunizations nor has his grade changed at Shelton State. On UA's website it says he HAS to have all his shots before he can start classes and we don't know if they're a stickler for that stuff or if that's just a formality and they don't pay that much attention to it. Hopefully it's the latter, because Justin still has to either A) get his shot records to see when he got his MMR shots to record it or B) get his first MMR shot, wait 28 days, get his second dose- all depending on if his lab results come back saying he's immune to MMR or not. If he has to start his shots, he's not SUPPOSE to start class Wednesday. However, if he is still immune, he can just get ahold of his records and record when he got the two doses but since today is Monday and classes start Wednesday we're still in a bind. Pretty much, either way it goes, Justin isn't going to have his immunizations form completed by Wednesday so we're really hoping that UA is lenient when it comes to that stuff. Guess we'll find out! Of course, on the other hand, his History grade that he was able to fix still hasn't posted to his account so he hasn't been able to get his transcripts sent to UA with the better grade- UA has his first set of transcripts that have the "F" for History and "I" for his ROTC class. Hopefully he can run to Shelton State tomorrow and it'll be fixed by then and he can just hand deliver his transcripts to UA at orientation.

Not much else is going on. I've been spending all weekend getting my stuff together for school and putting up our Christmas decorations. I bought a Barnes and Noble Nook on Friday as my early birthday present and I LOVE it. I never liked to read much, but all of a sudden I love to.

Justin said thank you to those who sent him a birthday card! They were all very sweet and he made sure to read each card before counting up all his money :) like he does with every card he ever gets! He used his birthday money to fix his tv- it's going to cost about $350.

Hope everyone is having a good 2011 so far! Love yall.
